The NADA Art Fair is back for its 9th edition in New York and brings together the community surrounding the Chelsea Arts District for an exciting multi-day event. It’s a chance to see the best of contemporary art—from paintings, sculptures, and digital art—in a space welcoming to new and seasoned collectors.
This year, NADA New York 2023 features 95 galleries representing 17 countries to expose viewers to international contemporary artists. Immerse yourself in the fair with guided and self-guided tours through the exhibits, event programs, and VIP events.
Here’s a look at the art fair.
NADA takes over the Chelsea Arts District
The Chelsea Arts District has blossomed into one of New York City’s premier arts districts. You’re completely enthralled in the art world, with dozens of galleries lining the streets between 18th – 28th Street and even multi-level buildings with different galleries on each.
Center548 is a leading art venue in the heart of the Chelsea Arts District. It lends itself as a blank canvas for the exhibits of the NADA Art Fair to fill. It’s the first time hosting the air fair since its return to NYC (the 2022 fair was held at Pier 36). With a new space and a new line-up of contemporary works to discover, it’s a refreshing experience for those who attend.

Experiencing NADA Art Fair
The NADA Art Fair set up inside Center548 gives it an open floor plan to explore exhibited works. Each gallery has a booth where you’ll find paintings, mixed-media works, digital art via display screens, and even art that calls for your interaction.
Attending the art fair lets visitors engage with the galleries. Find a new piece of art to add to your collection by talking with gallery owners and representatives onsite. They’re available for meetings to discuss purchasing art, setting up private viewing in their galleries, or simply chatting about the works they represent. With galleries from around the world, you’ll be able to get information on emerging contemporary artists and upcoming dealers in the industry to represent them.
All art displayed at the event is available via the online viewing room here. Each piece provides information about the work, artist, and gallery to help plan your visit to the fair.
Want to learn more about the galleries and artists on display? NADA partners with Commissioner to arrange guided tours around the air fair. Experts guide groups of up to 15 people and offer informative talks and meeting artists.
Event Programs
The multi-day exhibitions include a scheduled program list to give art lovers even more reasons to check out the fair. Every day you’ll find live artists’ talks and art lectures to inspire new ideas in contemporary art. Here are the upcoming program events:

In addition to these programs available for everyone, NADA also features exclusive VIP events. VIPs get first access to the exhibitions with a special VIP Preview on Thursday for a few hours before the fair officially opens to the public. VIP accreditation with NADA extends far beyond the art fair. Accepted applicants get access to art perks year-round, with entrance to eligible museums, art studios, galleries, and special events.
