Activist Group Extinction Rebellion Takes Over NYC Institutions

Throughout the past weekend (Nov 17, 2033 – Nov 19, 2023) activist group Extinction Rebellion has made large amounts of noise across various Manhattan, New York Institutions.

On Saturday, Nov 18 Extinction Rebellion chose the Guggenheim Museum as their place for protest. Their message relayed their discontent with the institution for accepting donations from the Sackler family, whose company manufactured and falsely marketed OxyContin, a highly addictive opioid drug used to treat chronic pain.

On Sunday, Nov 19th Extinction Rebellion Strikes again. This time the protest took place at the beloved American Natural History Museum. This time the activist group chose to express their displeasure with climate conditions and relaying the message that if we aren’t taking care of our environmental issues, there wouldn’t be anymore appreciation for museum exhibitions; because the planet would die.
