Arthur Midianga Debuts “Humane” in Paris Fashion Week June 24–28

Paris, France — This June, amidst the pulse of Men’s Fashion Week, New York-based artist Arthur Midianga will present the debut of “Humane”, an immersive solo exhibition running June 24–28 at 23 Rue Chapon in Le Marais. The show marks the first international unveiling of this powerful and poetic series.

Comprising over 15 works, many large-scale, “Humane” offers a visceral encounter with human emotion as a terrestrial force. Drawing from cosmology, symbolism, and the fractal logic of Fibonacci patterns, Midianga’s work evokes stillness in rhythm and rawness in composure. Set against the backdrop of the chaos and violence of the world, this series boldly asks a simple question: “Is it insane to be humane?”

“Humane came to me at a time in my life when I needed to simplify. Life was all over the place, intense celebrations alongside immense grief. A nature retreat to get away led to internal discovery. I share this series to show the connection between all of us and the planet we inhabit. ‘Humane’ is a call to humanity. Represented by universal symbols of nature, it provides a view through the lens of that child-like imagination and empathy that keeps us human.” — Arthur Midianga

Timed with one of the most culturally vibrant weeks in Paris, the exhibition promises to draw a dynamic, cross-disciplinary crowd of artists, editors, designers, and tastemakers. The week-long exhibition will open for Press Preview on June 24, followed by an Opening Reception on June 26. The works will be available to view by appointment throughout the week before culminating with a Closing Reception on June 28, which will include a DJ, libations, and an exclusive apparel drop.

Midianga’s practice spans the U.S. and Europe with his previous work having been shown across galleries in New York and Spain and the WNBA at the Barclays Center. He was awarded the Saatchi New Futures Prize in 2023 and featured by Meta’s @design. Humane continues his mission to make art accessible and create space for vulnerability, imagination, and community.
