Dead & Co.’s 60th Anniversary Celebration: A Night to Remember

The Grateful Dead’s legacy continues to captivate audiences across generations, and their latest celebration in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park was no exception.

The Grateful Dead’s impact on music is undeniable. From their early days in San Francisco to their iconic performances at Golden Gate Park, the band’s influence has been felt across decades.

According to Billboard Boxscore, Dead & Company grossed $114.7 million in 2023 across 28 shows, making them a live music juggernaut in their own right.

The cross-generational appeal of the Grateful Dead’s music was on full display at Golden Gate Park. Billy Strings, a young jamgrass sensation, opened the show for an audience that spanned from kids to old-timers who may have been at the Dead’s earliest shows in the park.
