Barbara Gladstone (1934-2004), born Barbara Levitt, was an influential American art dealer and film producer. She owned Gladstone Gallery, with locations in New York, Brussels, and Seoul.
Over her 40-year career, she represented more than 70 artists and estates, playing a pivotal role in developing their careers and shaping the contemporary art landscape.
Her gallery became a significant force in the art world, known for aligning with both commercially successful and critically acclaimed artists.
At the age of 89 Barbara Gladstone passed June 16th in Paris, France after battling a brief illness a spokesperson from Gladstone Gallery mentioned to The ArtNewspaper.
