Feria Clandestina returns for its third edition from December 5 to 7, 2024, bringing an unparalleled showcase of emerging and mid-career artists to its new home at the Gold Dust Motel, Miami. Known as the city’s only community incubator art fair, Feria Clandestina is breaking boundaries with 29 exhibitor rooms, five special projects, and a diverse lineup of 93 artists from around the globe. This year’s event is set to be the strongest and most ambitious iteration yet.
Highlights of Feria Clandestina 2024
- Curator-Driven Excellence:
- Room 204: Curated by Luna Goldberg, this room features works by eight artists from “The Crit Club”—a collective showcasing thematic and aesthetic evolution, including Harumi Abe, Jen Clay, and Jenna Efrein.
- XP · Art Agency (Cologne)**: Presenting “300 Yards of Thought” by Manuela Gjoka and a selection by Romain Burgy in Room 207.
- Dynamic Digital and Video Art:
- Lisu Vega (Miami) and Carlos Pedreañez (São Paulo) collaborate on a video art and textile installation.
- Richard Garet’s sound installation, “The Liberation of Meaning,” transforms the literary works of Uruguayan poet Mario Benedetti into an auditory experience.
- “Above and Below,” a multi-channel installation by BULK Space (Detroit), explores cross-cultural conversations on watershed ecologies in Miami and Detroit.
- Emerging Talent from Top Galleries:
- SUPERMARKET Gallery (Miami) showcases Joan Jimenez and Destiny “Desi” Swoop.
- The CAMP GALLERY (Miami) features Hermes Berrio, Margaret Roleke, and Lydia Viscardi.
- Galería Unión (CDMX) presents South Korean artist MinSeok Chi and Gabriel Lengeling from Guanajuato.
- Community Engagement Initiatives:
- Jolt Radio, Miami’s community radio station, will host a residency, creating a vibrant sonic experience throughout the fair.
- Collaboration with the MUD Foundation to expand programming beyond the physical space.
- Exclusive Collectibles:
- Introducing The Pool Pass: A limited-edition art floaty and print by Nice’N Easy, merging creativity and fun.
