Hollywood Productions and Events Halted Due to LA Wildfires

The devastating wildfires in Pacific Palisades and other areas of Southern California have forced Hollywood production shutdowns and postponed major awards season events. Over 5,000 acres have burned, destroying 1,000 structures and leading to widespread evacuations.

Awards Postponements:

Critics Choice Awards: Postponed to January 26, previously set for this Sunday in Santa Monica.

BAFTA Tea Party: Cancelled.

AFI Awards Luncheon: Rescheduled from January 10 to a later date.

Oscars Nominations: Pushed from January 17 to January 19, with the voting window extended.

2. Hollywood Productions Paused:

• TV shows like Grey’s AnatomyHacksNCISSuits L.A., and The Price Is Right have halted filming.

• Late-night shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live! and After Midnight, have ceased production for safety reasons.
